🏈 Bloodbath

Injuries, trade rumours, and more injuries…

Good morning and happy Saturday. Brady apparently made his decision with the ultimatum he was given. Did we expect anything different from the GOAT?

We've got a brief rankings, trade rumors, and injury recap for you today. Let's get into it.

MARKET

Adjusting the Rankings for TNF:

πŸ“ˆ Isaiah Likely showed he can be a valuable TE plug-in if Mark Andrews misses time, posting an elite (for TEs) 14+ points.

πŸ“‰ Leonard Fournette only had 9 carries for 24 yards, but saved fantasy owners by scoring a TD. The Bucs basically abandon the run when faced with trailing game scripts, which happens a lot more than it should.

TRADE RUMORS

NFL Trade Deadline = next Tuesday (Nov. 1) at 4p.m. EST

We've already seen a few pieces moved but if it is an active trade deadline, there could be significant impacts on fantasy values. Here's what we're hearing:

Still Curtain

Per @Schultz_Report, "Two teams have now told me the Steelers want a second-round draft pick in return for Chase Claypool. My sense remains that Pittsburgh would prefer to keep the talented third-year WR. We'll see, but his upside is simply too high if I'm [Steelers' GM] Omar Khan." If Claypool is moved to a better offense, him and the remaining Steelers' pass catchers could all see a boost in value.

Another scoop from @Schultz_Report, "Teams are calling the Commanders about trading for RB Antonio Gibson. My sense however, is that Washington prefers to keep Gibson, who's formed a formidable 1-2 punch with rookie Brian Robinson Jr." In fact, Ron Rivera himself said they're not trading Antonio Gibson and he was pretty adamant about it. Sounds like the three-way committee in Washington will continue.

ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio reported the Eagles are not interested in trading for Alvin Kamara. Florio noted the social media rumors about the situation were false and a source "with knowledge of the situation" said the Eagles aren't interested. My fellow Kareem Hunt owners can exhale, we still have hope the Eagles are interested in our guy.

Fox Sports' Ralph Vacciano reported the Giants have "particular interest" in acquiring Jerry Jeudy. It is unclear how the Broncos feel about moving Jeudy.

Other fantasy relevant players that could be on the move before Week 9:

  • Brandin Cooks

  • Mike Gesicki

  • Kareem Hunt

  • Cam Akers

  • DJ Moore (unlikely)

  • Elijah Moore (unlikely)

HOSPITAL VISIT

Hey Nurse, how’s my Fantasy Team?

Yahoo! Sports

Some (somewhat) good news before we get into how screwed your team is. Ja'Marr Chase is NOT going on IR. He sustained a hairline hip fracture and torn labrum. Even though he'll still miss some time, this means he won't be required to miss 4 games.

  • Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry are both out again for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders - @ErinESummers

  • Ezekiel Elliott is OUT vs. the Bears with a knee injury - @1053thefan. It was even suggested he could rest for "a couple weeks." This confirms a HUGE boost in value for Tony Pollard this week.

  • Kliff Kingsbury told the media James Conner will not play this week adding, "Hopefully, next week, he'll be able to go." - @PaulCalvisi

Lions' D'Andre Swift is off this week's injury report and is expected to play Sunday vs. Miami. WR Amon-Ra St. Brown is listed as questionable - @AdamSchefter.

The Panthers have declared Chuba Hubbard (ankle) out for Sunday's game at Atlanta. D'Onta Foreman will be first up, backed up by Raheem Blackshear and Spencer Brown - @DNewtonespn. It's officially "who is that guy?" szn in Carolina.

Rams updates: RB Kyren Williams will not be activated this week. WR Van Jefferson will be activated from IR and will play Sunday - @AndrewSiciliano. Cam Akers is also out

Deebo Samuel (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Rams - @Eric_Branch. One less mouth to feed this weekend for anyone hoping for big performances out of Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, or Brandon Aiyuk.

As expected, the Packers have ruled out Allen Lazard (shoulder) for Sunday night's game in Buffalo.

Broncos' HC Nathaniel Hackett said Russell Wilson will start Sunday in London vs. the Jaguars. Those high knees on the plane paid off. Broncos country, let's ride.

QUICK SLANTS

  • Todd Bowles says the Bucs got "pass happy" toward the end of the game and that's a big reasons why the offense stalled. He said he's like to see the offense run the ball more and he told OC Byron Leftwich that - @evan_winterAtoZ.

  • The Chiefs officially announced the Kadarius Toney trade, which means Toney passed his physical - @NFL_DovKleiman.

  • Expect a big game from Derrick Henry this weekend. Per Ian Hartitz, Henry's last three games vs. the Texans have resulted in the following rushing stat-lines: 32-211-3, 22-212-2, and 34-250-2.

  • For any Colts fans holding out hope this season: Sam Ehlinger has played 137 preseason snaps. Roughly two full games worth. His rushing line is 17-126-1. He's completed 75% of his passes (45 of 60) per @adamlevitan.

Thanks for joining us this AM. DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THE LONDON GAME at 8:30 AM ET Sunday.
