Tom Brady has hilarious reason for 'missing' practice on Halloween

Hey

It’s Saturday. Another week down. We’re now one day away from 7-hours of commercial-free NFL Football. Let’s goooooo

The Morning Huddle Picks

10 Free Online Contest Software Options for Viral Giveaways

Since we’ve brought sponsors on board, we want to give back. So let’s have some fun with it: 4-game parlays each week, chosen by YOU.

We’ll bet $100 on the four teams with the highest % of votes to win each week. Each winning bet gets added to giveaways and cash prizes - The more $$ we win together, the more $$ we have to give away.

Rhamondre Szn?

Rhamondre Stevenson

The Athletic’s Brandon Funston released an article highlighting several players he is higher/lower on (paywall). Rhamondre Stevenson makes this list (9 spots higher than ECR), with Funston explaining that Stevenson led the Patriots RB’s in receptions and receiving last week, as well as seeing goal-line work (resulted in a TD).

  • Upside wins championships, and this guy has upside.

  • With James White on IR for the season, and Stevenson out-snapping Brandon Bolden last game (and Brandon Bolden not being good), Stevenson could see his workload continue to increase. Stevenson did whiff in pass protection but should improve as the season continues, and remains a high-upside stash in the event that the often-injured Damien Harris were to miss any time.

AJ Brown Back on Track?

Titans WR A.J. Brown at NFL Rookie Premiere
  • Weeks 1-2: Getting acclimated to a new offense (still saw 17 targets)

  • Week 3: Injured in the 1st quarter

  • Week 4: Inactive

  • Week 5: Limited (64% of snaps)

  • Week 6: Food poisoning (9 targets, 91 yards)

Not the start we hoped for.

The good news is that AJ has an easier schedule, should finally be healthy, and gave up fast food.  His lowest targeted game was Week 5, where he still saw 6 targets in limited action (64% snaps).

If they fall behind early, the Titans will need to utilize the passing game to keep up with the Chief’s offense. His rapport with Tannehill and short route tree make Brown a locked and loaded WR1.

Flawless execution Ian, well done:

You into sports-betting?

Look, the Morning Huddle is for one thing and one thing only: finding you the best fantasy football news and summarizing it into a brief, 3-minute read.

We don’t do sports betting, but Even the Odds does. In less than 5-minutes every morning, they review the best prop bets, parlays, and stories behind them. Plus, they were generous/genius enough to sponsor this newsletter - I think you’ll enjoy the read:

Big Day for the Bucs?

With Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski OUT, the “other guys” Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are WR1s against the Bears. Tom Brady is leading the league in passing yards, second in passing TD’s, and is on pace for 757 pass attempts. Yeah, Evans and Godwin will see plenty of opportunities.

Andrew Erickson also makes the case for Tyler Johnson as a sneaky flex play this week, highlighting his productivity in games AB and Chris Godwin have missed.

Hey Nurse, can you check on my friends?

Antonio Gibson injury news: Washington RB questionable for Week 4 - DraftKings Nation

Antonio Gibson will suit up against the Packers despite aggravating his shin injury in Week 6. The risk for further aggravation is high and Gibson could be limited because of it. We faded him last week and are doing so again. J.D Mckissic remains a decent play - caught 8 for 65 and added another 45 on the ground last week to finish with 18+ in PPR.

Saquon Barkley was ruled OUT for Sunday. Expect a heavy dose of Devontae Booker who saw a 72% snap share last week.

Tevin Coleman is questionable (hamstring). Who cares right? If Coleman misses the game, Michael Carter should see an increased snap share and pushes into a solid RB2.

Sammy Watkins is out with a hamstring injury. FIRE up Rashod Bateman after he was targeted on 27% of his routes in Week 6. While the result wasn’t great (4 for 29), it was the rookie’s first game in the NFL, returning off an injury. Be patient, he was drafted in the first round for a reason. Also, Lamar Jackson loves him.

Latavius Murray is also OUT, meaning nursing home veterans Le’Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman will lead the Ravens backfield against the Bengals. That sentence would’ve been exciting in 2017, but it’s now 2021. Rookie Ty’Non Williams should get activated off the practice squad.
