š Kenneth Gainwell might be a thing
We continue the Urban Meyer saga, call Dan Campbell on his BS, look into the Seattle backfield (gross), and JOSHUA GORDON TIME.
Good morning everybody. Hopefully, you woke up this morning to see that you hit on all your waiver wire claims. I never win any.
#1 waiver claim Damien Williams to me:
Letās start with the most interesting storyline of the past 48 hours:
Urban MFing Meyer
Just when you thought the Urban Meyer news couldnāt get any worse, BAM - more reports and statements surfaced.
First, Jacksonville owner Shad Khan stated that Urban must āregain our trust and respect.ā
Then a report surfaced that Urban has āzero credibilityā in the locker room and was laughed out of his apology meeting by the team. This thread by Michael Silver goes into embarrassing detail.
THREAD 1) The Urban Meyer situation in Jacksonville has reached a crisis point, especially in the locker room. One player told me, 'He has zero credibility in that stadium. He had very little to begin with.'

Pretty hard to lose a locker room before week 5 of the season, but donāt bet against Urban. Ari Meirov points out everything thatās happened since the Jaguars hired Urban Meyer:
Yikes
Dan Campbell, Liar Liar?
After Dan Campbell promised us more DāAndre Swift in Week 4, we got less. Swift only received 8 carries and 4 receptions and was out-touched by Jamaal Williams (14 to 12). The next day, a report came out that the usage of the two backs will depend on what defensive schemes theyāre facing. This is not what Swift owners want to hear, especially after Campbellās enthusiasm for Swift last week.
Per PFF, Swift leads the NFL in YAC
Hey Dan, DāAndre Swift is better, maybe switch it up and youāll win a game.
More Backfield Nightmares
Why wonāt fantasy football RBs let me sleep in peace?
Chris Carson struggles - The Athleticās Michael-Shawn Dugar doesnāt expect Alex Collins to get more playing time after rushing 10 times for 44 yards and a TD last week. Dugar expects Seattle to feed Carson - unless he is ineffective. Collins will only then get opportunities. Travis Homer usage remains exclusively for passing downs.
Carson hasnāt seen more than 17 carries since week 15 of 2019, only played 46% of the snaps on Sunday, and has an injury-riddled career.
QUICK - check your league for Alex Collins (our DEEP dive from 2 weeks ago)
Miles Sanders scares us - Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell essentially split reps Week 4, with Sanders on the field for only 60% of snaps. Sanders remains the top dog, but Gainwell has been more effective. This is looking more and more like a 50/50 time split. Gross.
The bigger issue: Kenneth Gainwell might be the better RB.
Kenneth Gainwell was the 2nd best RB in week 4, according to PFF (90.0)
He is their 5th highest graded RB through 4 weeks.

Kenneth Gainwell had an interesting career - he was recruited out of high school as a QB, and never played RB until college. In college? Kenneth was so good that Memphis put Antonio Gibson at WR to make room for Gainwell to play RB.
My comparison player for Gainwell is D'Andre Swift. Both have similar builds and are dual threats.
Team of the Week
QB: Sam Darnold: Look how far heās come. 31+ fantasy points, just like everyone expected. Heās worth adding as a QB#2.
RB/WR: Cordarrelle Patterson: I donāt know what to say. 32+ points. Patterson is the only source of life for the Falcons.
WR: Tyreek Hill: His stats are so good we had to include them: 11 catches, 186 yards, 3TDs. Top scorer of the week and why we never panic on Tyreek Hill. He will singlehandedly win you a week.
TE: CJ Uzomah: Just another week of 95 yards, 2 TDs for Uzomah. Wouldāve been nice if these went to Chase or Mixon. Uzomah is too volatile for anything but bestball leagues.
DST: Buffalo Bills: Taking on the Texans, Buffalo D/ST recorded 3 sacks, 4 INTS, and 1 FR. How sad are things in Houston?
The Houston Texans had 109 total yards against the #Bills today.
They had 100 penalty yards.

Quick Hits
David Montgomery will miss 4-5 weeks and could sit out until after the Bears Week 10 bye. Damien Williams is the top pickup, but Tarik Cohen is also eligible to return week 7 from PUP list.
Chris Carson missed practice Tuesday with a neck injury. It was only a matter of timeā¦
Chiefs promoted Josh Gordon from the practice squad. We assume he suits up Sunday night against the Bills. Letās hope he goes nuclear.
Teddy Bridgewater is in concussion protocol, leaving Drew Lock as the starter against Pittsburgh for Week 5. While Lock is a gunslinger, this is a downgrade to all Broncos pass catchers.
Tweets of the Day
Please watch this until the 35-second mark. Urban is interview-bombed by his shirtless friend holding a bongā¦
Oh man, I had forgotten about this Urban Meyer gemā¦

Instead took less money to play with a washed Ben Roethlisberger. Corvette Corvette.
See ya next time - have a great day.
