Happy Day-After National Tight Ends Day - Oct 24
Let’s jump right into it!
Not a huge day for fantasy-related news, a few players out, a few in, and one big signing. Bruce Arians’ team now resembles a fantasy football league winning-roster from like 2017.
BOOM. The All-World WR finally finds a home in Tampa Bay with his former teammate Tom Brady, giving Tampa Bay the most lethal receiving core in the league. For fantasy purposes, this is great news for Brady, as he adds another weapon to his arsenal. Brady had Tony Robbins talk to AB, so Brown will be focused.
Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Scotty Miller all should be slightly downgraded with another mouth to feed in the mix. Antonio Brown should be eligible to play in Week 9 and is worth grabbing in all leagues. Despite his off-the-field issues, AB is a top 10 talent. As we said, grab AB off the waivers if you can (Brady is also a worthy pickup if available).
Big Names Ruled Out
Joe Mixon (Gio becomes a must-add and should see heavy usage)
Michael Thomas (hamstring injury during practice, see below)
Emmanuel Sanders (Covid-19, go get Tre’Quan Smith)
John Brown (knee injury, replaced by rookie Gabriel Davis)
Austin Hooper (appendicitis, could also miss Week 8)
No More Positives in Vegas
Adam Schefter reported the Raiders had no more positive Covid-19 cases Friday, and their game against the Buccaneers remains on track for Sunday. They should have most of their o-line in play too, a huge positive for the Raiders offense.
Players on track to play
Kareem Hunt (not on the Browns injury report Friday - should have a great game)
D.J. Chark (participation in practice increased throughout the week)
Aaron Jones (more questionable than doubtful to play Week 7, keep an eye out)
Jamison Crowder (got a limited session in despite his groin injury)
National Tight End Day
A PSA from George Kittle, the best TE in the universe, for national tight ends day. Also, the best Jonnu Smith highlight from national tight ends day. Per NBC Sports, a certain quarterback played a huge role in developing this special day. “It was a conversation between Garrett Celek, Jimmy Garoppolo and myself,” Kittle said. “I’m pretty sure it was a day when all the tight ends were active. So Jimmy G was like, ‘What is it, National Tight Ends Day?’ We’re like, ‘Yeah, it’s a holiday, man. It’s National Tight Ends Day.’”
