Scary developments in Las Vegas & Justin Herbet is Anakin Skywalker - Nov 19

Good morning. As fantasy football playoffs are merely weeks away, we are pleased to provide you with top quality buys and sells (and adds), to make this YOUR year.

The question is...who will lead teams to Fantasy Glory? And why is the answer Derrick Henry?

Give me some ranks for this week!

Ryan McDowell gives his full Week 11 rankings here. He offers an innovative format for rankings - comparing the player with the competition.

Justin Herbert is the ā€œnew trilogyā€ Skywalker

And Keenan Allen is reaping the rewards (does this make him Han Solo?): Keenan Allen with Herbert (8 games) - WR5 (weeks 2-10) - 3rd in targets - 3rd in receptions - T-3rd in touchdowns - 10th in yards.

Hereā€™s hoping Justin doesnā€™t go to the dark-side (aka pull a ā€œBaker Mayfieldā€ and disappoint after year 1).

Speaking of Anakin, thereā€™s a very sad article discussing what happened to the child actor.

The Infirmary

Quick injury updates to help with your start or sh*t decisions (all Per Adam Schefter of course):

  • Further testing revealed that Broncosā€™ QB Drew Lock has a ā€œpretty severe strain and bruisingā€ but no fractured ribs, per source. He will be day to day, but it is uncertain if he will be recovered to start Sunday vs. Miami.

  • With Nick Foles and Mitch Trubisky banged up, the Bears are bringing in QB DeShone Kizer for a tryout.

  • Seahawksā€™ WR Tyler Lockett is listed as questionable for Thursday nightā€™s game vs. the Cardinals due to a knee injury, but he will play, per (unreliable) Pete Carroll. RB Chris Carson (foot) also is listed as questionable but he is unlikely to play, per source

  • Christian McCaffrey is officially out for Week 11. Good thing youā€™ve held onto Mike Davis! Right!?

Classic Derrick

I never quite realized how ridiculous it is that Derrick is the name of the man on the left in this photo:

Remember that time when Derrick Henry made Mark Ingram look like a child? Yeah me too : Tennesseetitans

Derrick

Derrick. To give you an idea of what type of name Derrick is, this is the first image that pops up on Google when I search Derrick:

Also Derrick

Regardless of how King Henryā€™s alias has gone unnoticed for years, heā€™s THE #1 player to buy for all contenders. I donā€™t know how you do it, but if someone in your league is wavering, send an offer (maybe a bribe too?).

Hereā€™s why Derrick Henry is the player to buy.

  • His schedule is a joke in Weeks 14-16. Running backs are scoring the 6th (JAX), 1st (DET), and 2nd-most (GB) fantasy points against the three teams King Henry is scheduled to face.

  • Look how much better Henry historically plays in Weeks 13-17, when defenses are beat-down and depleted from a long season - even more so with Covid-19.He averages a FULL 10+ points in PPR during the final 6 weeks. Heā€™s currently averaging only 17 PPG, to give you an idea of the ceiling weā€™re talking about.

  • The Titans went 5-0 to start the season with Henry averaging 24.6 carries per game for 117.6 yards per game, and he scored six touchdowns.

  • The Titans only played four games this season where Derrick Henry had less than 21 rushing attempts. The Titans lost three of those games (their only three losses). Mike Vrabel is a genius and will feed the beast.

Some other guys to buy before playoffs

This incredible article highlights the 6 FLEX players to pickup for a big run, including:

  • Raheem Mostert - Mostert is rumored to be back in action in Week 12 according to sources. According to PFF, when Mostert plays, he is the third-rated RB in the entire league.

  • Cole Beasley - Beasley has 7 games this season of 10 plus points and in 1 of the games he didnā€™t, he had 9.8. His baseline on the season is 13.7 points per game. He is garnering 7+ targets a game and is now the WR2 on the Bills with John Brown injured.

Defense wins championships!

This image is a tweet by Hayden, a legend at Rotoworld. It highlights the Defenses projected to allow the most points, compared with their sack rates. For example, the Steelers would be a great choice - see them in the bottom right hand corner?

The Jaguars, on the other hand, would not be. Based on this, Iā€™m targeting the Football Team D/ST, Saints D/ST, Chargers D/ST, and/or Browns D/ST.

Jon Gruden wtf dude!
