The Morning Huddle - Oct 18
Welcome to the second-ever Morning Huddle, where we send you quality info for your fantasy football season. Every day, for the entire season, by 6:00 AM (Eastern Time).
If you have any suggestions, please respond to this email to help improve the newsletter. I didn’t mention it yesterday, but you can click the links for direct sources.
Let’s get into it.
Dak Prescott is a great human
In his first public announcement since the gruesome injury, Dak says he is “Excited for God’s Plan” and has doubled-down on his faith. Glad to hear he is in great spirits and we wish him well in his recovery.
Melvin Gordon is out with a non-football illness, not out cold from the liquor consumption. Gordon will be arraigned on November 13, so he may get more games in before any suspension.
Patriots facility re-opens after a scare
Friday practice was cancelled in New England after OL James Ferentz tested positive for Covid-19. After no positive test results this morning (which is a good thing), the Pats are on track to play against the Broncos this Sunday. However, Sony Michel and guard Shaq Mason been placed on the Covid-19 list.
Why it’s about time you dropped N’Keal Harry…
The first Patriots WR drafted in the first round in who knows how long. Bill probably won’t be making that mistake again.
Are “compensation injuries” real?
When a player has a lower ankle sprain, are they more likely to injure their hamstring because the other muscles “pick up the slack”? Edwin Porras DPT gives you the answer.
The only player to repeat as a top-overall scorer? Dak Prescott.
BONUS:
Just in case you forgot how great Josh Cribbs was
NOW… if you enjoyed this newsletter and think some friends of yours would as well, I’d appreciate any sharing/feedback you can offer to help a brother out! Cheers!
