Oh and it's SUNDAYYYYYY. Some quick updates I'd want to know:
Who’s Out?
George Kittle (groin) is officially out for Week 1 against the Bears (add Robert Tonyan, G. Everette or Evan Engram - in that order). Rondale Moore (hamstring) is also out against the Chiefs, making AJ Green a desperation play in what projects to be a shootout.
Ken Walker (hernia) is listed as questionable on the official injury report ahead of MNF. He shouldn't be started even if he plays.
Rams coach Sean McVay said RB Kyen Williams will have surgery on his high-ankle sprain and be sidelined 6-8 weeks. After watching Akers & Henderson play, I'm betting that the Rams acquire an RB (like Kareem Hunt).
Players out Sunday include Ronnie Stanley, Zach Wilson, Duane Brown, Shaquille Leonard, Daniel Brunskill, Rondale Moore, Tre’Quan Smith, Dwayne Washington and Michael Gallup.

Who’s In?
TE Logan Thomas (knee, questionable) is “ready to go” for Sunday’s opener. The PPR TE4 in 2020 returns to more competition for targets and a potential snap count, per Rotoworld. But he's worth monitoring for TE-needy teams (as there's little chance he erupts in Week 1 & should be available Week 2). Plus...
Saints WR Michael Thomas, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a hamstring injury, is expected to play vs. the Falcons, per source.
Falcons WR Drake London, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a knee injury, is expected to play vs. the Saints, per source.WRs back.

Start/Sit: Elijah Moore or David Montgomery? AP or Lev Bell?
I know what you're thinking: Did Adrian Peterson and Le'Veon Bell really box last night? Yes, yes they did.
IN CASE YOU FORGOT
Adrian Peterson is fighting Le’Veon Bell tonight 🥊
54.2% of the money has come in on Peterson who is a +150 dog. Bell’s odds sit at -200 for the bought.

Supposedly only 200 tickets were sold for fight. The stadium holds 22,000.
Start/Sit: Take Two.
Some general guidelines we're following this Sunday.
SIT all Giants & Ravens WRs. Per beat reporter @JordanRaanan, "the Giants are going to shuffle WRs in and out with Sterling Shepard back vs. Titans." Rashod Bateman & Co face off against a Jets CB trio that added the top corner in the ‘22 draft and top corner in free agency.
START both Packers RBs. A 2017 Saints (RB3 & RB6) season is on the table for these two. It'll start Week 1 against a Vikings team that struggled with run defense. They allowed 4.7 yards per carry in 2021, 30th in the NFL.
SIT the rookie RBs. Breece Hall (Jets RB2) and every other rookie RB. EXCEPT start our boy Dameon Peirce. But you already knew that.
START volume WRs on bad teams. Christian Kirk, Darnell Mooney, Brandin Cooks. Like the responsible friend who DD's on Saturday night, they're a safe option.
[FF Weather Guys] The forecast for the 49ers @ Bears game has deteriorated, now with rain and 20mph winds. This game is now flagged as an "Extreme" with credible weather-impact risk on player production. We need a local to throw a football outside the parking lot and report back.
We'd also go Elijah Moore > David Montgomery because its plain old more fun. And Moore was the WR4 for a stretch before his injury...
If you want to read more Week 1 content, here's the best:
Wes Huber's Advanced Matchups - Wes goes beyond what most analysts do and I can't recommend this article enough.
Patrick Daugherty's Week 1 Rankings - RB17 Ezekiel Elliott wants to prove he is healthy and rejuvenated, but the Bucs' run-erasing line is an awful Week 1 matchup.
DFS
Here’s me, every Sunday:

@notJDaigle shares 5 thoughts when building lineups for DFS tournaments in Week 1 (thread). Here's one:
The field is honing in on Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson as the highest-rostered QBs (and rightfully so). Initial thought is to spend down and hope for the 300-yard bonus (on DK). But spending up for any other QB outside of those two will also naturally be different.
QUICK SLANTS
Darren Waller and the Raiders agreed on a three-year contract extension with $51 million in new money. Waller will be 30 this week. He had two years left in his previous contract with no money guaranteed.
Colts signed All-Pro LG Quenton Nelson to a four-year, $80 million extension through 2026, making him the highest paid guard in the NFL.
What's next for Lamar Jackson after contract talks with the Ravens ended (article)
Shoutout to Beckett, Dylan & Justin for donating to buy us a beer. Appreciate y'all. If you’d like to buy beers for the writers of Morning Huddle, you can find a tip jar at the bottom of each newsletter.
Now, you guys are great. Let’s have an epic Sunday. We'll be back on Tuesday morning, bright and early.
Jake, Eddie & Matt.
Tweet of the Day
Steelers aren't f***ing around.
Coach Tomlin gave the entire Steelers team black air forces to wear to their first game tomorrow 😂
