🏈 How screwed's my injury report?

Why you should sell Najee. And much, much more.

Good morning and happy Saturday. We survived another week - and now it's almost time to go to war.

We've got revised rankings and important injury updates, plus a collection of start/sit articles for you today.

MARKET

Adjusting the rankings after Week 2 and TNF:

  • 📉 Najee Harris is averaging just 12.5 PPR FPPG while playing only 70% of the snaps. Last season, he averaged 17.7 PPR PPG on an 85% snap share. A volume dependant back, Najee's touches per game dropped from 2021 (22.4) to this season (16.7), per @AdamKoffler.

    • Steelers offense with Najee Harris at RB: -0.12 EPA/play. With Jaylen Warren: 0.86 EPA/play.

  • 📈 Diontae Johnson continues to be a target earning stud. He has seen 10+ targets in 25 of his last 31 healthy games dating back to the 2020 season.

  • 📈 George Pickens. Still re-watching the catch.

Hey Nurse, how badly is my Fantasy Team screwed?

Arrowhead Pride

Short answer: it depends. Colts HC Frank Reich on Michael Pittman for Sunday's game, "he's ready to go." - @brettbensley. Throw Pittman back in those starting lineups.

  • Rashod Bateman missed practice on Friday due to a personal issue but will play Sunday, per @ryanmink.

  • Dan Campbell said the Lions are "just going to kind of monitor" D'Andre Swift this week. Campbell added, "I think he's fine. We just want to be smart about it going into the game." Some people are worried about Swift, but you've got to start your studs.

Tom Brady reportedly has a "banged up" ring finger on his right hand. Thanks for keeping us updates, GIselle. He'll be fine.

  • the rest of the Bucs: ruled out WR Chris Godwin. WRs Julio Jones and Russell Gage are considered questionable and may be game time decisions - @AdamSchefter.

The Packers have four receivers on the injury report this week: Allen Lazard, Christian Watson, Sammy Watkins, and Randall Cobb. It is reportedly a "wait and see" approach for all of them. As for Romeo Doubs, coach Matt LaFleur said he's "going to have to take more of a load this week." ]Doubs could be a solid play in deeper league pending some of these injuries in Green Bay.

Per @RapSheet, QBs Justin Herbert (limited participant) and Lamar Jackson (full participant) are both trending in the right direction ahead of this weekend (video). Although the Vegas line movement suggests Herbert sits:

  • RB James Conner is a game-time decision, per Kliff Kingsbury

  • WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) was on the field but not participating in practice on Friday - @LindseyThiry

  • TE George Kittle is not on the injury report for Sunday night. He's officially good to go and will make his 2022 season debut in Denver - @nwagoner

  • John Harbaugh on when RB J.K. Dobbins will be active: "You'll know it when you see it." Thanks for nothing, John. Although he did add that "it's not going to be too long."

  • WR Hunter Renfrow (concussion) is out for Sunday. Josh Jacobs (illness) is questionable - @MySportsUdpate

Sneaky IR Stash: Ron Rivera says "they like what they see" with Brian Robinson and his recovery. He's reportedly had no issue whenever the rehab ramps up. - @BenStandig. He was also spotted with no sleeve or bandage at practice Friday. We love to see it.

Before he was shot multiple times, , Brian Robinson Jr. passed Antonio Gibson on the depth chart and was working as the Commanders' RB1 (during the preseason). It remains to be seen when Robinson will be back and what type of workload he will have this season, but if you have any unused IR spots it is worth stashing him.

QUICK SLANTS

  • Falcons HC Arthur Smith had the following to say about not involving Kyle Pitts: "There's things we may be asking him to sacrifice early on to make sure we are clean in the run game and some of the protection stuff... The ball will find him, and he's going to break out... and we're going to win because of it." Who cares about the Falcons, we need fantasy wins.

  • Josh Jacobs (illness) is not traveling with the team to Nashville, a pretty big sign that he's not going to be playing on Sunday.

  • After a huge game from Jaylen Waddle last week, he has a good chance to run it back during Week 3. As PFF's Nic Bodiford points out, Waddle will likely face Bills CB Kaiir Elam on Sunday. Elam has allowed 66.7% of targets thrown into his coverage to go for first downs and/or touchdowns this year. Bodiford also predicts big games for Brandin Cooks and warns fantasy players of starting any Bucs WR. Full article here.

  • George Kittle (groin) wasn't listed on the 49ers final injury report and should make his season debut in Week 3 against the Broncos. Hunter Renfrow (concussion) also won't play in Week 3 against the Titans.

Thanks for joining us this AM. Now go pull a David Njoku and have yourself a career day. And huge shoutout to anyone that started the Browns D/ST on Thursday night. You all got the garbage time miracle that Najee Harris owners wish never happened. It cost Eddie a good deal of money. We'll see you tomorrow!

Jake, Eddie, Matt & Coach Wehler.
