🏈 Sneaky Good RB Pickups

WRs to stash and TEs to grab. Week 7 byes hit different...

Good morning. Especially to anyone who started Eno Benjamin. Really?? 8 points Eno!?? After how hard we hyped you last week?? I wrote this song and recorded the music video 4 years ago, for anyone who started him on our recommendation.

But hey, at least we've got a subscription with The Athletic. You can too, as access to their award-winning content isn't just for us handsome newsletter writers. For a limited time, you can subscribe for just $1 a month.

Today's newsletter covers all the critical Waiver Wire talk you need to win your league, important as bye weeks are about to hit different: Week 7 leaves us without the Bills, Rams, Vikings or Eagles.

WAIVERS

Checking out The Wire

RUNNER: The Drake

The Ravens’ running back situation is a total mess. J.K. Dobbins has struggled this season, as we expected and HC John Harbaugh said Dobbins was limited to just 7 carries because "His knee tightened up." Kenyan Drake looked like the team's best RB, finishing with 10 carries for 119 yards — 63 more than expected. In a jumbled RB room, Drake put on a show the Ravens can't ignore.

  • Rachaad White remains a backup with elite upside. Think almost Kenneth Walker if Leonard Fournette goes down. Stash.

  • D'Onta Foreman is the clear beneficiary if the rumors about the Panthers moving Christian McCaffrey are true. Foreman posted three 100-yard games and scored three TDs when filling in for an injured Derrick Henry.

  • Gus Edwards is “getting close” to returning from the PUP list. Don't forget, Edwards has never had fewer than 5.0 YPC in his three seasons and has provided RB2 value with RB1 weekly upside.

RECEIVER: Wan'Dale Robinson

Wan'Dale Robinson is a must add. In his first game back, the Giants rookie WR saw 4 targets on just 11 routes run - good for an elite 36% tpps. Wan’Dale tied for 1st among Giants WRs in target share (16.1%) and has one of the better production profiles in this class. He has been a dynasty trade target since draft day and his role will expand significantly, as the Giants drafted him in the top-45 for a reason. Grab everywhere.

  • Michael Gallup: the last time Gallup was the Cowboys' No. 2 receiver (2019), he finished as a high-end WR2. With Prescott at QB, Gallup should provide WR3 value.

  • Mike Gesicki saw a huge route participation spike with 42/55 routes. This volume makes Gesicki a low-end TE1 if that remains.

  • Greg Dulchich: Albert O was a healthy scratch, while the rookie TE Dulchich might be this year's Pat Freiermuth. Dulchich played 70% of the snaps in the first half of his NFL career and posted a 2-44-1 receiving line and nearly a 2nd score in one half.

  • Tyquan Thornton smashed after Kendrick Bourne's in-game injury. The Patriots rookie ran 26/36 routes and scored 2 TDs.

Don’t buy the hype: Robbie Anderson might've been traded and he might be a deep threat, but will you ever trust him enough to start him? No, no you won't.

I'd also grab Rondale Moore, if available.

PASSER: Jimmy G

Jimmy Garoppolo hasn't been bad, with three top-14 weekly fantasy finishes in his five appearances this season. Next up is a Chiefs defense that's been one of the three easiest matchups for fantasy QBs in 2022. They've allowed multiple touchdown passes to every team they've faced.

Tua Tagovailoa is just above the 50% rostered mark but should be rostered in every league. Add where available and stash on IR.

As for D/ST, here's five streamers courtesy of The Score:

As for Kickers, f*** no!

QUICK SLANTS

  • Marquise Brown injured his foot on Sunday. Following an MRI, his foot isn’t as bad as initially thought. It’s a small, non-surgical fracture. Recovery time is about 6 weeks.

  • Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury said he'd be "open" to giving up offensive play-calling duties. Cardinals are now 31st in yards per play despite being No. 1 in plays per game. It can't get worse.

  • Tua Tagovailoa cleared concussion protocol on Saturday and Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said he expects Tua to start in Week 7 against the Steelers.

  • Dak Prescott told reporters last week that he expects to play in Week 7, and he remains on track to return against the Lions.

Remember: today's a great day to be great. Cheers.
