Week 5 NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. "Devin Singletary has broken free from the three-way RB committee that Buffalo employed the first two weeks. The past two weeks, Singletary handled 73% and 90% of the snaps, along with 73% and 100% of the RB routes."

"The Seahawks allow a NFL-high 9.0 yards per pass attempt. Chris Olave has at least 137 air yards each of the past three games, and should convert a high percentage of those into receiving yards in this matchup."

Matthew Berry's Love/Hate: "If you have a Patriots running back, you'll want to have him in your lineup this week against Detroit. The Lions have allowed 120-plus rushing yards AND multiple rushing touchdowns to running backs in three of their four games this season, along with 5.3 YPC to the position."

Five Fantasy Takeaways from NFL Week 4. Number 1? Stream TEs vs. the Seattle Seahawks. Starting every TE against the Seahawks = TE1 this season. This week, Juwan Johnson and/or Taysom Hill face Seattle.

Fantasy Football Defense Streaming Week 5: Houston Has a Problem. "The Jacksonville Jaguars D/ST unit sits No. 5 in fantasy points scored (45.0), entering Week 5. Their 31 passes defended are seven more than the next closest NFL team and their seven interceptions are tied for the league lead. Jacksonville’s long-tarnished reputation has kept the fantasy community sleeping on them."

Jake Ciely's rankings for Week 5: Sleepers, starts, sits — Devin Singletary, Terry McLaurin and more. This is the same list of rankings that advocated starting Rashaad Penny last week. Crazy to think you can access them & much more for $1 while supporting the newsletter.

"Starts: Terry McLaurin: The loss of Jahan Dotson can be a boon for McLaurin, primarily with increased red zone targets. Damien Harris faces a Lions rush defense that just let Rashaad Penny go 17-151-2 on the ground. Ryan Tannehill takes on a Commanders team that have allowed 10 passing touchdowns, including Cooper Rush going 223/2 last week."

HOSPITAL VISIT

Hey Nurse, how’s my Fantasy Team?

The Falcoholic

Falcons TE Kyle Pitts has been ruled out Sunday against Tampa Bay. Not that we'd notice.

The Bucs removed Chris Godwin from the injury report and Julio Jones is questionable. Sit Julio, start Godwin.

Commanders WR Curtis Samuel was back at practice on Friday after missing two practices this week with an illness. Ron Rivera said Samuel was dealing with the flu and felt a "little achy."

RB Brian Robinson was working for a third consecutive day and there is real optimism about potentially playing on Sunday. It could come down to how he feels after a week of work. WR Jahan Dotson is out with a hamstring injury.

Nyheim Hines apologized to his coaches for leaving Thursday's game. I was as likely to go back into that game as Hines was after a brutal hit. He remains in concussion protocol. HC Frank Reich did say that the Colts are optimistic that Jonathan Taylor can return next week.

  • Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) returned to practice on Friday. A positive sign for his availability on Sunday, although he is officially listed as questionable.

  • Michael Thomas will be out Sunday while Jameis Winston misses another game. The Saints will start Andy Dalton again. Other Saints monitoring include Alvin Kamara (ribs) and Jarvis Landry (ankle), who are both questionable.

  • David Montgomery is questionable to play Sunday against the Vikings.

  • Keenan Allen was ruled out for the fourth straight game.

  • Gerald Everett, who showed up on the injury report Thursday with a hamstring injury, was participating during the period of practice open to the media on Friday.

  • Rashod Bateman has been ruled out for Sunday night's game against the Bengals.

  • Tee Higgins and Hayden Hurst were limited in practice on Friday "so they can feel good to play Sunday", per Zac Taylor.

Daniel Jones (ankle) is off the injury report and will play on Sunday against the Packers in London.

Tua Tagovailoa remains in concussion protocol. Coach Mike McDaniel told reporters, "there are several outside specialists we are utilizing. We'll take it from there." McDaniel also said he's "very hopeful" Tyreek Hill (quad) will play Sunday. WR Jaylen Waddle is also questionable.

QUICK SLANTS

  • Garrett Wilson leads the NFL in route success rate against man single coverage at 54%. That is well beyond the 30% league average for wide receivers. Buy.

  • As if the loss wasn't bad enough, the Broncos lost key players for the season. OT Garett Bolles broke his leg and CB Ronald Darby tore his ACL.

  • Christian McCaffrey is reportedly "a name to keep an eye on" at the NFL trade deadline. The claims were later denied but his situation can't get much worse right now. Full article here.

  • Mike Boone was on the field for 46% of the Broncos offensive snaps. That was just behind "lead" back Melvin Gordon (52%). Boone earned 7 carries and 3 targets for a total of 85 yards.

  • NFL Week 5 Betting Picks, Angles (w/Oddsmaker Matt Davidow) (video).

That's a wrap. Don't forget about the London game tomorrow, set those lineups now so you can sleep off the hangover on Sunday. See you tomorrow, legend.
