Injury updates you need to know: Chris Godwin, Julio Jones & more
Good morning and happy Saturday. We survived another week... unless you dug yourself a hole by starting JuJu Smith-Schuster Thursday night. Just me?
How you’re feeling if you started JuJu Smith-Schuster in fantasy last night

We've got a brief injury recap for you today. Because it’s been a heck of a week and all need rest.
HOSPITAL VISIT
Hey Nurse, what’s up with Tampa?
JoeBucsFan.com
It was a busy week for the Bucs' injury report. WRs Mike Evans (calf), Julio Jones (knee), and Russell Gage (hamstring) all practiced on Friday in a limited fashion and are trending in the right direction. RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) carried a "limited" designation all week but practiced. All four are officially questionable for Sunday against the Saints. Other notables for the TB vs. NO matchup:
Chris Godwin has officially been ruled out with a hamstring injury per @AdamSchefter
It "seems like Alvin Kamara could be out Sunday against the Bucs after missing practice again [Friday]" - @FieldYates
The Mike Evans dilemma: We all know Evans crushes in games without Chris Godwin, but he averages just 1.5 receptions for 26.6 yards per game when going head-to-head against Saints DB Marshon Lattimore - @John_siglerr.
Start your studs.
Michael Pittman Jr. will be questionable for Sunday with a quad injury. The Colts aren't sure when it happened. Coach Reich said "Pittman got out to the practice field on Wednesday and felt something he hadn't felt after the game." - @JoelAErickson
Bengals WR Tee Higgins (concussion) was a full participant in practice on Friday and is officially questionable to play Sunday against the Cowboys. Coach Zac Taylor added there are "really encouraging signs" for Higgins' availability this week. - @CharlieG_
Lions RB D'Andre Swift returned to practice Friday after missing two practices this week due to an ankle injury. Swift is officially listed as questionable, which is an encouraging step forward. He apparently played through this last Sunday.
Packers listing WR Allen Lazard (ankle), and OL David Bakhtiari (knee), Elgton Jenkins (knee) and Jon Runyan (concussion) as questionable for Sunday's home opener vs. the Bears.

Cardinals WR Rondale Moore is officially out again with a hamstring injury. Greg Dortch saw the 2nd most targets on the Cardinals last week and could be a solid play in deep leagues and DFS.
Giants WR Kadarius Toney's hamstring "tightened up" at practice Thursday and he had to miss some team drills - @RalphVacchiano. Things aren't looking great for those who invested in Toney.
Chargers QB Justin Herbert will have more tests on his ribs and chest after some hard hits on Thursday night. Ian Rapoport said initial X-rays "seemed to be negative" based on comments from coach Brandon Staley, although they did not get a definitive answer (video).
The Ravens will face Dolphins WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle with their top 4 projected CBs injured. Marlon Humphrey (groin): missed Friday's practice. Marcus Peters (knee): Last game was 2020. Brandon Stephens (quad): Missed past 2 practices. Kyle Fuller (knee): Out for season. - @jamisonhensley.
QUICK SLANTS
Davante Adams' grandparents will come to see him play for the very first time on Sunday against the Cardinals and he’s excited.
If you have Clyde Edwards-Helaire, consider selling him as a “RB1”. Per @dwainmcfarland, CEH's fantasy points say RB1, but utilization screams mid-range RB3. Sell while you can.
Thanks for joining us this AM. Now go do that work you meant to finish Friday.
Jake, Eddie, Matt & Coach Wehler.

Me: I'm not saying O.J. Howard is a superstar, but he's got immense athleticism and was a first-round pick. He showed signs of that special skillset in Tampa. Sure, those two TDs were fluky in Week 1, but he looked great! Maybe just needed a fresh start!
